WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

What credentialing are physical and occupational therapists required to possess to treat patients?

Physical and Occupational therapists as well as physical therapy assistants are required to graduate from an accredited educational institution and to have passed the national licensure examination.

What is board certification?

Physical therapists who have obtained licensure and whom have acquired a minimum of 1-year clinical experience are eligible to sit for board certification. Board certification is optional and not required to practice. At Boca Raton Orthopaedic Group more than half of our physical therapists have achieved optional board certification in orthopaedic physical therapy. Additionally, physical and occupational therapists with experience in the clinical setting have the option to achieve credentialing in hand therapy. Our occupational therapist is a credentialed hand therapist with well-over 20-years of clinical experience.

Our team has the following subspecialty credentialing:

  • McKenzie Method
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning

Our facility is a clinical education site for several physical and occupational therapy programs and all of our staff assume the role of clinical educators for our future professionals.
